“Those who write and direct films are our cultural narrators. The stories they tell shape our worldviews.” – Robin DiAngelo

Spark Micro-Short Film Fest & the MicroMania Channel are nonprofit projects created to support and inspire new voices to self-represent in film and video.

Our stories help us see ourselves in each other, breaking down stereotypes created through mis and underrepresentation.

Films 5 minutes and under cost less to produce allowing more people to share their voices and vision through film.

We amplify impactful shorts and people who make them. and we’re always dreaming up new ways to grow audiences for our filmmakers, including:

  • Year-round programming featuring officially selected filmmakers
  • The MicroMania Channel
  • Encore presentations, including storefront pop-ups and donation-based public screenings

The MicroMania community is centered in encouragement and support. We can create positive social change together.
