WNY Filmmaker Spotlight – Filmmaker Taylor Martin
Join us at Fitz Books and Waffles on Saturday, November 11th at 2:00 pm for a screening and discussion with Buffalo’s own Taylor Martin.
Taylor Martin is a 33-year-old film school dropout from Buffalo, New York. After visiting Hollywood in her teens, the magic and dream of filmmaking were put on the back burner to raise a family. After a car wreck in 2018, Martin realized it was time for the old dream to become a reality. She found the Buffalo film community and began acting and writing.
With over 40 acting credits and award recognition, Martin was ready for creative control and formed Shady Acres, a competition film team consisting of friends and creative partners. Her directorial debut was runner-up in a Chicago competition, and she has gone on to direct/produce 3 more short films to date that focus on immersive storytelling and memorable characters. Martin continues to act/write and has recently begun a career as a producer with NoxLuna films
