WNY Filmmaker Spotlight – Filmmaker Steve Rosenthal

Join us at Fitz Books and Waffles on Saturday, September 23rd, 2:00 pm for a screening and discussion with Buffalo’s own Steve Rosenthal

Steve founded the video/digital film production company Caramax Studio, which produces documentaries, narrative films, industrials, and commercials for broadcast and the internet. Steve is a Director of Photography, Editor, Digital Colorist, and FAA licensed Remote Pilot. His documentary Go Gentle has been viewed more than 48,000 times on Amazon Prime.

Steve is also a musician and was a founding member of the Amherst Saxophone Quartet. He’s been a board member of Chamber Music America, American Composers Forum, and panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts.

We will view several short films made during the pandemic lockdown (although not primarily about the pandemic), and preview several works-in-progress including a NYSCA funded documentary of the roles that the government has played in shaping institutional racism. It highlights the benefits to all of us as we endeavor to create a more egalitarian future.
